2011 Sneak Peek - A Small Business Owner Pays the Bills
by Brad Peck
"Since when does our great free-market country punish success?" was the question U.S. Chamber President Tom Donohue posed yesterday when confronted with a health reform plan financed on the backs of small business owners. Support for the plan was lukewarm, and certainly not bi-partisan, but David Axelrod, Obama’s senior political strategist points out “Ultimately, this is not about a process. It’s about results.”
So what would the result be? Have a look and then Take Action now to oppose flawed health care proposals.
I own a small mom and pop theatre in a town of around 1800. I can tell you right now, that theatre will be closed if these kinds of taxes, and health care reform is passes. Why can't you see that you are making things worse instead of better. And if Obama wanted to bail out something it sould have been social security. Since your "eltie "people in congress have stolen over 260 trillion from it over the past 30-40 years. Too bad senators and representives don't have to pay into social secuity and medicare. But oh no. They have their own retirement plan. They continue to draw whatever their salary is at the time they retire for the rest of their lives. I don't believe we have an honest hard working representive or senator in our entire congress.
By the way, do you know what City Zoo and the White house have in common????? The zoo has an African Lion. The White House has a Lying African. Chew on that for a while. Our government stinks. My business dropped 20 percent the day "HE" took office. What does that say for the confidence in our leadership in America. Shape up or shut up. You are not doing any of us any good.

I am a small business owner and I am sickened by the thought of government run health care, especially when it will be funded by small business owners and the elderly. I stridently urge our Arkansas elected officials to stop this nonsense immediately!

I own a small business. I provide some health care coverage for full time employees..
I am for reform, but not the type that will put small companies out of business. The current bill would kill small business.

If health care reform gets passed with the burden on the employer to pay with payroll taxes, expect the cost of a Big Mac to be $5+, Extra value meals to be $10+, Taco Bell tacos - $5, etc. A box of cereal will abe $10 and a gallon of milk will be $5. These costs will be passed on to the people that can afford it the least.
